Dr. Roberto Togneri
Dr. Roberto Togneri is a senior lecturer with the School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer
Engineering. His research activities include signal processing and
feature extraction of speech signals, statistical and neural network models
for speech recognition, applications of spoken language technology, language
modelling and understanding, and related
aspects of communications, information retrieval, and pattern recognition.
He has published
over 50 papers in refereed conference and journal publications in the areas
of spoken language and information systems and co-author of the book Fundamentals
of Information Theory and Coding Design, Chapman & Hall/CRC, 2003.
He is both a
senior member
of the IEEE and an ordinary member of ASSTA.
