Dr. Herbert H.C. Iu BEng(Hons), PhD, SrMIEEE
Biography:
Dr. Herbert H.C. Iu received the BEng(Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1997. He received the PhD degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2000. He worked briefly as a research fellow in the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, HKPU.
In 2002, he joined the School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, The University of Western Australia as a Lecturer. Currently, he is an Associate Professor. His research interests include power electronics, renewable energy, nonlinear dynamics and chaos, current sensing techniques and TCP dynamics. He has published over 90 papers in these areas. He currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an Associate Editor of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Newsletter, an Associate Editor of International Journal of Information and Systems Science, and a Guest Editor of Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing. He is a Co-Editor of Control of Chaos in Nonlinear Circuits and Systems (Singapore, World Scientific, 2008). He is a senior member of IEEE.
