Overview
The Centre's mission is to be a national resource for research, consultancy and postgraduate studies in the area of intelligent information processing.
Achievements
The Centre is active in the areas of intelligent systems, artificial neural networks, biomedical engineering, control, digital signal processing, parallel and distributed computing, image processing, pattern recognition, software engineering, spoken language systems, embedded systems and robotics.
Over the past 5 years the Centre has attracted grants and contracts totalling more than $2.0 milllion from the Australian Research Council ($665,000), the Defence Science and Technology Organisation ($110,000), and other bodies.
