Completing a Master of Engineering at EECE, UWA

I came to know about UWA while browsing brochures at IDP, New Delhi. I found that UWA was member of prestigious ‘Group of Eight’ universities and has excellent reputation in teaching and research.

Eventually after lots of search, I decided to apply for MEICT here. I wasn’t prepared to do masters by research and didn’t want to do master by full coursework. MEICT has both components; initial coursework gives adequate foundation and familiarity with research groups in schools and then students get a chance to apply their knowledge in Individual Research Project. The reputation of UWA and course structure of MEICT were the main reasons for me to come to UWA. I was very happy to get an admission letter. During the period of my degree, I found that EECE is equipped with excellent intellectual and material recourses for learning and research. All labs are equipped with the latest hardware and software. There are various research groups in EECE, undertaking cutting edge research and have international recognition in their domains.

Since I started my master degree immediately after finishing bachelor degree, I didn’t have any work experience. During final semester of my degree, I started working for a software company named Nable-Consulting and I am still continuing with them.

My advice to prospective students is that you must consider MEICT if you are looking for a course which has both, coursework and research components. I believe UWA is one of the most prestigious universities in Australia.

Completing his Master of Engineering at EECE, UWA

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Automation in China. Within this interesting field, electric power supply system, which could be described as the largest of all man made systems, impressed me so much that I chose it as my postgraduate study at EECE, UWA.

I have chosen UWA as my study destination because it is a prestigious university. More importantly EECE at UWA offers a wonderful Master of Engineering programme in Power System by coursework and dissertation. This programme has given me the opportunity to gain the most up-to-date skills and knowledge for my studies and career path. Another aspect of EECE is the friendliness of the support staff , the knowledgeable and meticulousness of research experts, and the convenient facilities such as the IEEE access. These have contributed signifi cantly towards my studies at EECE.

I feel that wind energy has an important role to future energy supply system. Currently my research and dissertation is about forecasting the wind speed.

Once I finished with my Master of Engineering, the ideal job for me would be to work for a wind farm organization in Australia. This is one of the bright futures for tomorrow’s energy supplies. I also look forward for an opportunity to work as an engineer for the power supply systems industry in general.

Master of Engineering at EECE is a fantastic programme that offers great study experiences, many practical opportunities, brilliant career path, and it will not disappoint you.

Completing his Master of Engineering at EECE, UWA

I did my undergraduate degree in electronics and communication in India. When the whole world was talking about software engineering, I thought of getting myself a degree which could combine both software and electronics. Coming from an Electronics background, my Master’s degree has not only improved and strengthened my background but also provided some strong insights into the field of Software Engineering.

I liked the subjects off ered by EECE and I had the options to choose the course which I liked the most and also of my interest. None of the above aspects influenced me to choose EECE. I chose EECE because of its good reputation in terms of the courses off ered. Only when I joined the school I came to know about the fantastic facilities like the IEEE access through the internet and more.

Studying Master’s degree at EECE has opened my mind to explore many wonderful ideas through student staff consultative meetings and also I have been given opportunities to mingle with students of other departments to get updated with the latest technologies, news and other activities.

I am currently working for Tieline Research. This company has the state of art technology in producing broadcasting and surveilance equipments.

I would suggest to prospective students to take up the wonderful subjects offered by EECE. Especially the MEICT course, because it is a very reputed course and has lot of opportunities in both Electronics and Software fields. Just go for it guys.
