UWA Staff Sports Fun Day

The UWA Staff Sports Fun Day took place on Friday 28th November 2008. Staff and postgrad students were invited to represent their school/faculty in an inter staff sports fun day. This was the first time such an event had been held and due to its success the VC Prof Alan Robson announced that it will now become an annual event.

UWA Staff Sports Fun Day

EECE Sports Fun Day Soccor Team

The day contained a selection of individual, small team and big team novelty sports as well as the traditional sports. The aim of this strategy was to provide enough variety to ensure that there was something for everyone.  EECE staff and students participated in the following sports:  soccer, egg and spoon race, sack race, tunnel ball and leader ball.  The activities were followed with presentations given by Prof Alan Robson, and then drinks and a sausage sizzle was enjoyed by all.

Our School Manager participated in the day as a spectator come amateur photographer.  Here are some photos taken during the activities including some good action shots!!!

The School was very successful with their soccer matches although no finals were scheduled – perhaps they will be included next year!!  See the attached photo for one of the EECE soccer mixed teams.  This team played two games winning 2:1 and 2:0.  Well done!!
