Jorge Monzon, EMBS V.P. Member & Student Activities has advised that the University of Western Australia Student Club has been selected by the EMBS Member & Student Activities Committee as the recipient of the 2009 EMBS Best New Student Branch Chapter or Club Award. 

The recognition associated with this award consists of a $300 USD honorarium and reimbursement of up to $1,000 USD for travel, registration and accommodation expenses for the Chapter Chair to attend the EMBS Awards Presentation Ceremony at the Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This year's Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, 3 September during the Welcome Dinner of EMBC'09.
