Important businesses, government departments and organizations have benefited from the collaboration of EECE highly skilled expertise and multi-million dollar cutting edge equipment.
Research Centres and Groups
EECE has a team of highly skilled and internationally qualified research engineers leading in their specialised field of research. They conduct original research in both electrical and electronic engineering, and information technology areas. The results of these efforts are published in internationally recognised journals after being scrutinised by experts in the field. There has been a significant increase in research activity over the past few years. Industry linkages and partnerships have continued to grow with the School’s research centres and groups. Some examples are:
The Energy Systems Centre has a formal research collaboration program with Western Power. The joint research has led to many publications in International journals and conferences. The Centre also undertakes research work for consulting firms in the power field. Over 200 commissioned research projects have been carried out to successful completion by the Centre.
The Microelectronics Research Group is undertaking a number of government funded research programs, government and industrial contracts, and international collaborations. The group also provides consultancy services in its areas of expertise, and has patented, commercialised and licensed a number of its technologies internationally.
