Perl
Perl is a multi-paradigm programming language with the design aim of making easy jobs easy, without making hard jobs impossible. Its slogan is that “There’s More Than One Way To Do It”. Perl idiom is therefore varied, expressive, and constantly evolving. If you enjoy writing prose or poetry in a natural language, you will very likely enjoy programming in Perl.
This Perl Corner is a collection of my growing acquaintance with Perl: its marvels and well as its quirks. The first article, Perl Pitfalls and Pointers documents some of the pitfalls likely to be encountered by the new Perl programmer working alone and identifies precautions that could be taken to avoid them.
